## Design Concept
This living room layers warm, low lighting over a traditional Persian-style rug and classic silhouettes to create an intimate evening retreat. The neutral upholstery lets the vintage artwork and patterned textiles drive the character, while multiple lamp sources replace harsh overhead lighting for relaxed, adjustable ambiance.
## Key Decisions
- **Triple lamp arrangement** — Two table lamps plus a floor-level glow from the balcony let you scale brightness from full entertaining to single-reader mood without touching a ceiling fixture
- **Low-profile sofa with deep seats** — The clean-armed white sofa reads modern enough to avoid stuffiness, but the 22"+ seat depth supports actual lounging better than typical apartment-scale furniture
- **Round coffee table** — No sharp corners for tight traffic flow between the two accent chairs; the 30-32" diameter keeps drinks within reach from all three seating positions
- **Full-length lined curtains** — The weight and length frame the glass wall as intentional architecture rather than rental default, and the blackout lining improves sleep if this opens to a bedroom zone
