## Design Concept
This living room layers warm neutrals and organic textures to create a grounded, welcoming seating zone that feels intentionally curated rather than crowded. ## Key Decisions
- **Rug scale & placement** — The 8x10 low-pile rug extends 18" beyond the coffee table and slides under the front legs of all seating, creating a defined "island" that makes the room feel larger and prevents furniture from floating.
- **Warm tonal layering** — Cream, caramel, and walnut tones keep the palette cohesive; the black trellis pattern adds just enough contrast to hide wear without overwhelming the small footprint.
- **Asymmetrical balance** — The floor lamp and tall artwork on opposite walls draw the eye upward, balancing the visual weight of the media console and preventing the window wall from feeling bare.
