## Design Concept

## Key Decisions
- **Layout:** The sofa faces the balcony view rather than the TV, prioritizing natural light and conversation while keeping media secondary.
- **Lighting layers:** Wall sconce + sputnik chandelier + two table lamps eliminate harsh overhead-only lighting and allow mood adjustment throughout the day.
- **Rug scale:** The 8x10 rug extends under all front furniture legs, visually anchoring the seating group and softening the wood floor acoustics.
- **Plant placement:** The fiddle leaf fig fills vertical dead space near the window without blocking the view, adding organic contrast to geometric furniture.
