## Design Concept
A compact L-shaped sectional with shallow 32" depth and slim track arms maximizes seating without blocking the sliding door circulation. The low-profile oak media console and tonal layering of warm neutrals keep the narrow room feeling open and intentionally edited.
## Key Decisions
- **Chaise-left sectional** — shallow 32" seat depth and window-side chaise preserve the TV sightline from all seats while leaving 30"+ clearance from the sliding door; no bulky arms to visually weigh down the room
- **Recessed wall treatment** — the existing architectural niche is left open rather than filled, creating natural negative space that balances the TV wall and avoids a "furniture pushed against walls" feel
- **Low console + vertical plant** — the 16"H oak media unit keeps horizontal lines low, while the tall fiddle-leaf fig draws the eye upward, stretching perceived ceiling height
- **Layered lighting** — flush ceiling fixture for general illumination, recessed spots for art, and floor lamp for evening warmth; no table lamps needed, keeping surfaces clear

## Sizing Note
The sectional shown is 88" total width with a 58" chaise projection—verify your window-wall recess depth before ordering. If the recess is shallower than 36", swap to a 76" apartment sofa ($450-700) plus one 22"W slipper chair ($120-180) that can tuck into the recess or float as needed.
