## Design Concept
This design centers on a sculptural olive corduroy sofa that anchors the open living-dining zone with relaxed, modular comfort. Soft neutrals and layered textures—faux marble, ribbed velvet, warm wood—create visual depth without overwhelming the compact footprint.
## Key Decisions
- **Floating furniture layout**: The sofa sits clear of walls with walking space on all sides, making the room feel larger and allowing natural light to flow through the sheer curtains.
- **Dual-purpose dining niche**: The round marble-look table tucked beside the sofa seats two for daily meals without blocking the main circulation path.
- **Vertical greenery**: A tall fiddle leaf fig in the corner draws the eye upward, balancing the horizontal lines of the low sofa and expanding perceived ceiling height.
- **Layered lighting**: The tripod floor lamp fills evening shadows while the pendant defines the dining zone—no ceiling rewiring needed.
