Walnut-Framed Seating Niche
The central challenge was defining a functional conversation area within a tall, architecturally plain space that risks feeling scattered. The design anchors the room with a walnut media console placed directly under the multi-paned window, using its horizontal mass to visually lower the ceiling and ground the seating group. A matching coffee table and leather armchair create a U-shaped social zone facing both the sofa and the window. The arched opening becomes a natural proscenium, turning the window wall into a focal point rather than competing with it. Warm wood tones unify disparate pieces, while tonal neutrals keep the palette cohesive against the existing pale walls and concrete floor. The result is a room that reads as intentional and finished without any structural changes.
