## Design Concept
A soft, layered retreat that balances the warmth of existing wood tones with airy neutrals to create calm for tired parents. The design prioritizes clear circulation for nighttime feedings, discreet storage for daily clutter, and lighting that adjusts from bright morning routines to dim, soothing evenings.
## Key Decisions
- **Bedding as foundation**: Swapped to a textured linen-look duvet in warm oatmeal with tonal layers—adds visual interest without pattern chaos, hides wrinkles, and reads elevated at a modest price point.
- **Curtain upgrade**: Added floor-to-ceiling sheer + blackout double layer; softens the window wall, improves sleep quality for the baby, and makes the ceiling feel taller.
- **Bench reimagined**: Replaced cluttered surface with a single lidded storage ottoman—corrals burp cloths, nursing supplies, or that "not quite dirty" sweater without visual noise.
- **Lighting layers**: Introduced a dimmable arc floor lamp near the dresser for ambient glow and swapped bedside lamps to warm-toned LEDs with fabric shades, allowing one parent to read while the other sleeps.
