This eclectic living room balances bold color blocking with natural warmth, using the existing cobalt bookcase as an anchor. The refined cord routing and cohesive material palette create intentional visual flow without sacrificing the collected, renter-friendly personality.
## Key Decisions
- **Ceiling cord management**: Swapped to a white fabric-wrapped cord and slim ceiling-mounted cord channel that follows the ceiling plane to the track—eliminates visual clutter while keeping the dramatic pendant drop
- **Unified metal finishes**: Brass arc lamp, terracotta side table legs, and wicker accents create warm metallic through-lines that temper the primary colors
- **Layered plant heights**: Floor monstera, tabletop trailing pothos, and shelf-top specimens add vertical softness without crowding circulation
- **Rug proportion**: The oversized circular red rug (8-9 ft diameter) extends under sofa and lounge chair, defining the seating zone within the open plan
