- **Compact loveseat centered on the rug** anchors the 8x8 zone without blocking sightlines over the sofa, maintaining the open flow you requested while offering genuine seating for one to two people
- **Dual lighting scheme** (floor lamp + table lamp) eliminates dark corners for evening reading and lets you adjust mood without overhead glare
- **Cream shag rug** adds underfoot warmth that contrasts the dark wood floors and visually contains the seating area without heavy visual weight
- **Restrained bookshelf styling** leaves breathing room between books and objects so the wall feels collected, not chaotic
