The Bedroom lacked a clear focal point and suffered from hidden, overflowing closet storage that made the room feel smaller. The design intent centers the space on a low-profile walnut platform bed with a substantial headboard, grounding the room horizontally while drawing the eye upward to floating corner shelves. Practical value comes from replacing closed storage with a visible, organized open closet system that encourages editing and daily tidiness. The soft renovation constraint meant keeping the existing closet shell and tile flooring, so the solution layers movable components—modular wood shelving, a compact nightstand, and textural bedding—against neutral permanent surfaces. The visible result is a room that reads as intentional and spacious, with the bed as anchor and the open closet as functional backdrop.

- Platform bed with extended headboard — low walnut frame with vertical headboard slats creates visual weight at center without bulk, establishing the room's horizontal rhythm and material palette.
