## Design Concept
This design honors the bathroom's 1950s bones by pairing the original cream tile and burgundy trim with a muted olive-sage wall color that feels both period-appropriate and quietly current. The restrained palette and simple chrome fixtures keep the small space feeling open, clean, and authentic to its era.
## Key Decisions
- **Wall color**: The dusty sage-olive (Behr "Back to Nature" or similar) bridges warm cream tile and cool chrome without competing for attention, making the room feel larger than a bold or dark choice would.
- **Compact fixtures**: The low-profile toilet and slim console sink preserve floor space and sightlines, critical in a small bathroom where every inch affects movement.
- **Chrome cross-handle faucet**: Period-correct styling at a fraction of reproduction cost; the cross handles read as intentional vintage rather than basic builder-grade.
- **Triple sconce + ceiling fixture**: Layered lighting eliminates shadows at the mirror for grooming while the chrome ceiling fixture maintains the midcentury metal story.

## Sizing Note
The console sink shown is 24" wide—verify your rough-in depth before ordering, as some vintage bathrooms have shallow supply lines. If space is tighter than 20" front-to-back, consider a wall-hung sink with a chrome P-trap exposed rather than a console with legs.
