Design Concept
A gentle vintage refresh that honors the 1940s-50s bones of this bathroom while breathing in warmth and softness. The palette pairs the existing mint floor with warm ivory tile and a whisper of peach-beige above, creating a sun-faded cottage feel that feels lived-in, not staged.
Key Decisions
- Rounded mirror + globe lights: The smaller arched mirror opens wall space and bounces window light; paired with three simple opal globes, it replaces the dated bar fixture with period-appropriate softness.
- Warm ivory tile refinishing: Epoxy refinishing the existing square wall tile keeps the grid pattern intact while banishing dinginess—far cheaper than retiling and authentic to the era.
- Pale blush upper walls: The barely-there peach-beige above the tile line visually raises the ceiling and flatters skin tones at the mirror.
- Light shower curtain: A simple white or ticking-stripe cotton curtain keeps the tight tub area feeling airy, not cluttered.

Sizing Note
The arched mirror should clear the faucet by 4-6 inches and sit 3-4 inches above the tile line. If wall space feels tight, a 20"×28" oval works without crowding the medicine cabinet.
