A restful sanctuary built around the existing king bed, layering warm ivory textiles with deep red and forest green accents against your blue walls to create cozy contrast. The design prioritizes clear sight lines, soft diffused lighting, and tactile warmth to support daily renewal and easy maintenance.
Key Decisions
- Symmetrical bed anchoring: Flanking nightstands and matching lamps frame the black iron headboard, creating visual calm and balanced task lighting for reading without harsh overhead glare.
- Ivory foundation with rich accents: Cream bedding and curtains maximize natural light reflection while burgundy and forest green velvet pillows and throws add depth and seasonal flexibility.
- Low-profile layered lighting: Table lamps and recessed cans on dimmers let you control brightness for sensitive eyes; warm 2700K bulbs prevent that sterile clinical feel.
- Open perimeter, soft center: The reading chair stays near the window for natural light, walking paths remain clear, and the distressed-look rug underfoot adds texture without visual weight.
