The design intent was to apply disciplined, budget-conscious editing: matching wicker baskets unify the corner shelves and tall pantry, a single cream-and-green gingham curtain softens the trash-bin recess without fabricating new doors, and perimeter-routed lights replace chaotic ceiling crossings. This preserves the farmhouse character while making the space feel intentionally maintained rather than accumulated. Every choice supports daily function—clear counters for food prep, labeled basket storage for family retrieval, safer light placement near children, and washable textiles.

Implementation Note
