Design Concept
A compact Scandinavian café corner that turns the bay window into a functional breakfast nook without touching fixed elements. The round pedestal table and slim stools maximize floor space while keeping heat flow unobstructed, with natural wood tones warming the all-white shell.
Key Decisions
- Pedestal table centered away from heater — round shape allows easy movement in the tight 6-foot span, and the single column base leaves toe-kick clearance for the baseboard unit
- Backless stools that tuck flush — 18-inch seat height slides completely under the 28-inch table when not in use, maintaining the walkway to the garden door
- Matte ceramic pendant dropped to 30 inches above table — focuses light for morning coffee without competing with recessed cans or blocking sightlines to the yard
- Low-profile dog station on left counter — ceramic bowls on a silicone mat keep pet area tidy and off the floor, preserving the clean sightline through the windows

Sizing Note
Confirm your baseboard heater height before ordering: most units are 7-8 inches tall, so a 28-inch table with 18-inch stools leaves adequate knee clearance. If your heater exceeds 9 inches, drop to a 26-inch table height or select stools at 17 inches.
