Warm wood tones, soft neutrals, and restrained lighting layers make the space feel larger and more inviting without architectural changes.
Key Decisions
- Floating sofa placement defines the living area while maintaining 42-inch walkways to the bedroom and sliding door, exceeding the 36-inch minimum for comfortable daily traffic.
- Low-profile media console keeps sightlines open across the room and prevents the TV wall from feeling heavy in the apartment-scale space.
- Round dining table softens the room's geometry and seats four without blocking the kitchen island or window access.
- Layered lighting combines recessed ceiling cans, pendant, and floor lamp to eliminate dark corners and support evening activities without harsh overhead glare.
