Angled Walnut Utility Station
The central challenge was creating a credible kitchen function in a corner that cannot accommodate standard appliance suites. By concentrating all utility into a single angled cabinet with integrated sink, the design turns constraint into character. The walnut grain and tapered legs signal midcentury craft, elevating the unit from utilitarian to intentional furniture. A single oversized pendant pools task light precisely where hands work, eliminating the need for additional fixtures. This station supports washing, prep, and portable-cooktop use without demanding wall modifications or fixed cabinetry. The preserved plaster patches and door frames remain as found; only movable, replaceable elements define the new identity. Living Room sightlines are respected by keeping the profile low and the palette warm.
